2nd Full Day at Camp Friedlander

2nd Full day at Camp Friedlander

The boys did a great job a great job "Hopping " the tables for Troop 843. Don Everhart recognized the boys at troop role call and told the boys they did a great job. Free time on Tuesday night was spent doing different activities. A few of the boys worked on the fireman's Chit. Jason and Zach spent their free time at the climbing wall. A few of the boys are building a raft for the Camp Friedlander raft building contest.

We all turned in between 10:00 & 11:00. The boys were tired and asleep before no time. Matter of fact most of them were not aware that it rained for about 4 plus hours Tuesday night Wednesday morning. The rain started in the early morning hours and was moving out before breakfast.

The boys will be able to complete their Trailblazer program this week. I believe they have completed the Tenderfoot requirements and working on there 2nd class rank advancement. They have also been able to complete some of there 1st class requirements too. Christian and Robbie have been working on a few different Merit Badges and will be completing them by the end of the week.

Sorry for the late post. I will try and send out another post later to day for Wednesdays activities.

First full day at Camp Friedlander

Hey everyone,

Our first full day at camp was great.
The boys are doing great and working towords completing thier requirements for Tenderfoot. The Trailblazer program is keeping them busy all morning. I was surprised at how much energy the boys had at the end of the day. I think we hiked all the way around camp at least twice. The Merit Badge programs the boys are working on are on opposite sides of the camp. I have to wonder how many miles we walked today? The camp chow seems to agree with the boys. I have not heard one complant matter of fact I would say most of them return for seconds. When it came time to turn in they all were able to get showers and brush there there teeth. For the most part :-)

Today the Phoenix Patrol is responsible for setting up the dining hall tables and setting out place settings for all the meals for Troop 843. They did great at breakfast.
They did a great job setting the tables and were first line in line for chow. Cleanup went smoothly and we moved onto the Trailblazer program. Thier Merit Padge programs will be fun for the boys today.

I will send out more pictures and keep everyone up to date as the week progresses.

Camp Friedlander

Hey Everyone,

The boys are doing great here at Camp Friedlander. Our first night went really good. The boys that slept in the Canvas tent did great. The dryer sheets helped keep out the creepy crawlies. A few of the boys slept in Troop tents. The troop tents do not have as much room so they have to leave there gear boxes outside. If bad weather comes in we will make sure everyone is safe and all the gear is in good shape. The boys are busy with there first day of activities. Trailblazer's in the morning and different activities for the boys in the afternoon. The food is not bad and the boys are not leaving the dining hall hungry. We are making sure everyone drinks plenty of water.

Here are a few pictures of the boys having a great time a Boy Scout Camp.
